Commodities
No specific restrictions apply, except to hazardous cargo that falls within the Classces 1, 7 and 9. Hazardous cargo is subject to approval prior booking acceptance at origin.
Special Cargoes
Out of Gauge (OOG) cargo is only accepted after approval of dimensions. It is recommended that over height cargo does not exceed 2.90 meters in order to assure safe loading/discharge. No acceptance of LCL and/or Break Bulk cargoes.
Weight Limitations
Proceed as per standard maximum pay load restrictions.
45' Containers
No acceptance of 45' containers in Cape Verde.
No special Bill of Lading clauses/restrictions apply. Sea waybill and/or telex releases are acceptable in Praia, however the consignee should have at least one copy of the bill of lading for customs clearance purposes. In Mindelo, local customs do not accept sea waybill hence telex release or original bill of lading is required for customs purposes.
