In the next stage of Maersk’s internal integration, Senator International will begin to be phased out from 1 February 2023 as we go to market as Maersk. This means whilst the legal entities of Senator will remain unchanged for the time being, Senator’s renowned products and services will now be available under Maersk.
We are on a journey to become the integrated end-to-end supply chain partner to you. We continue to transform our company, with the objective of providing you with high quality transport and logistics solutions and ensuring that we remain a partner that you can trust. We realize that our current brand structure doesn’t reflect the way you, our customers, have your supply chains structured, and the need you have for end-to-end visibility and ability to drive outcomes. Therefore we intend to integrate to a unified, single entity under Maersk.
A core rationale for Senator and Maersk joining forces since June 2022 has been to offer our customers the best of both worlds with streamlined integrated solutions. Through this rebranding, you will have access to the same services you know from Senator in addition to an expanded transport and logistics solution portfolio under a unified Maersk. We believe that this will provide you with a more consistent and simplified experience.
Maersk and Senator share many ground values, including the utmost care and commitment to our customers. Be assured that whilst Senator is now becoming a part of Maersk, you will continue to enjoy the same renowned services and care you have enjoyed under Senator. Senator team members have also been successfully onboarded to Maersk and will continue to support with their expertise.
What this means for you?
This rebrand will allow you to easily access the joint offering of the two brands, under one roof, with expanded scope and expertise. Additionally, we believe this will bring more connectivity, agility and resilience to your supply chain, with enhanced options and solutions.
We understand that some of our customers may question how we will ensure competition compliance and data security. For decades, Maersk has been present across many different levels of the transport and logistics supply chain, and we have maintained a proven track record of protecting third-party sensitive data from being accessible to other parts of the Maersk organisation. We are and always will be committed to operating our business in compliance with all laws and we will handle your data with the respect and care that it demands. The trust of our customers, suppliers and partners means everything to us and our data ethics rules, which are applicable to all Maersk employees, are above market standard of what is legally required – precisely to protect and maintain your trust.
For further information on how we this will be put in place, please visit our FAQ on Maersk.com, where you can find more information on our capabilities.
Should you have any questions on how we can help you and your business, please contact your current Senator professional.
As part of our integrated logistics strategy, we are consistently trying to find ways to bring ease, flexibility and resilience to our customers’ supply chain. Our priority is always to optimise our abilities to meet our customers’ needs and deliver the best products and service possible to you. We realize that our current brand structure doesn’t reflect the way you, our customers, have your supply chains structured, and the need you have for end-to-end visibility and ability to drive outcomes.
That is why Maersk has announced its intention to move towards a singular, unified Maersk. This means we intend to integrate the Senator International and others into Maersk over the course of the next few months, following an in-depth review.
Through this we aim to unify our structure to better reflect the reality of our customers supply chain challenges, giving you more multimodality options and connectivity, all under one roof.
Transitioning to Maersk is a process; we are making the first changes 1st of February 2023 towards our customers, while the timeline for the rebranding of assets will vary by country, depending on local complexity, number of assets, etc.
We believe that a singular, unified Maersk offering will allow us to offer you increased customer value through deeper integration and a simpler, more focused, and empowered organisation.
Through this integration, you will be offered the best from our successful, integrated organisation. Our goal is to leverage our combined experience and capabilities and offer you the best logistical solutions, whilst respecting all legal, fiscal and contract confidentiality requirements. You will have access to dedicated and specialised products and services, easing your supply chain planning constraints markedly by gathering all your solutions under one roof.
Where you are using multiple ocean carriers to fulfil your supply chain needs, we are proud to confirm that Maersk has been present across the transport and logistics supply chain for decades and has a proven track record of data access management to ensure that we are compliant with all laws and ring-fencing third-party data from being accessible to other parts of the Maersk organisation. The trust of our customers, suppliers and partners is extremely important to us and our data ethics rules do beyond what is legally required, to earn and protect your trust whilst providing you with best-in-class transport and logistics solutions.
Whilst Senator’s visual identity will be changed to the Maersk visual identity, this will not impact customer contracts or licensing.
We will inform you of further changes to your account in a timely and open manner. We will handle the transition with the utmost care, to ensure that the impact to you and your company is as minimal as possible.
Throughout the transition, current account teams and terms and conditions (contracts, payment terms, etc.) will remain the same, and no changes are expected on your account and on how and who you interact with. You will still be able to reach your Senator representative at their usual Senator email address, who will reply to you from their Maersk.com or lns.maersk.com email.
Should future changes occur to this, we will ensure to inform you in a timely manner, and handle the transition with the utmost care, to ensure that the impact to you and your company is as minimal as possible.

Maersk has been active on different levels of the transport and logistics supply chain for decades. We are sensitive to the fact that this may result in cases where one part of Maersk is in a customer or supplier relationship with a third party, and another part of Maersk may compete directly with that same third party. As an example, Damco supplied Maersk’s orchestration Supply Chain Management and 4PL solutions, managing multiple transport and logistics providers appointed to service a common customer’s needs. Please note that we have maintained a proven track record over the years of protecting and ring-fencing third-party confidential data from being accessible to other parts of the Maersk organisation. We are, and will always be, committed to operating our business in compliance with all laws.
Maersk has created and implemented specific rules around data access and a comprehensive compliance and controls framework on this topic, which is above market standard and exceeds the legal requirements imposed by different laws as they exist today. The reason for this is that maintaining the trust of our partners and stakeholders means everything to us. We live our company values daily to ensure that we can confidently build and maintain the trust of our customers, suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders.
The rebranding will not affect customer rates.

We believe that a unified Maersk offering will allow us to offer you the best of our organisations. It will also allow us to leverage their combined experience and capabilities and deliver the best service possible, whilst respecting all legal, fiscal and contract confidentiality requirements.
We will keep key elements from across the brands that we know our customers like and embed them in the Maersk way of working.

Where your supply chain uses the services of non-Maersk ocean carriers* and where you have contracted Senator to orchestrate your supply chain on your behalf, please note that such Senator/Maersk employees will operate from an @lns.maersk.com email domain. The reason for this is to ensure that you and the non-Maersk ocean carriers that you use, can readily identify that they are dealing with the correct person within the organisation. Maersk’s data ethics rules, which are applicable to all Maersk employees, are designed to ensure that we continue to appropriately handle confidential, sensitive, and competitively strategic information (CSI) of our customers’, including that of their suppliers’ and partners’. Specifically, these rules are designed to prevent direct, indirect and accidental access to third-party CSI and ensure that their data is appropriately handled, stored and access controlled within Maersk, to protect your trust.

We will inform you of changes to the legal entity in timely manner so you can adjust your billing information. For now, billing information will continue to state Senator.
