We would like to announce that two modern vessels, Vistula Maersk and Vayenga Maersk, will phase-in Canada Express (North Europe to/from Canada) to replace the existing vessels. The new vessels are among the world’s largest ice-class containerships, designed specifically for operation in icy water conditions. Apart from a stronger hull, they are characterized by providing efficiency of intake. This improvement will offer strong support to contract business and end-to-end logistics.
The ice class vessels’ propeller and rudder design has been optimised for lowest fuel consumption. Further, the vessel will utilize biofuel, which is carbon neutral and is manufactured from recycled sustainable biomass. The deployment change will be an important step to provide our Canadian customers with green logistics solutions and achieve our goal of carbon neutrality by 2040.
With the changes to the setup of the Canadian Express, we look forward to continuously serving our customers with a reliable connection between North Europe and Canada.
