Starting from 1 January 2025, the fuel charges in Denmark will change as a part of the Danish government’s green initiatives plan. This change is part of the government’s strategy to reduce the environmental impact of the transport sector. We would like to explain how this affects you.
What does this change mean for you?
- Increased transportation costs The green initiatives will bring an extra fuel charges for all Truckers to be paid to the government of 0,78 DKK per liter of diesel. Unfortunately, these costs will impact our operations and will result in adjustments to freight prices with 0,2 DKK per KM. We will combine the adjustments with the road tax previously communicated so the total charge will be 1.30DKK + 0.20DKK = 1.50 DKK per km driven.
- Optimised logistics and low-emission initiatives We always strive to optimise and mitigate the impact on our customers and are always open for finding more low-emission and cost-effective solutions – this new fee could be an opportunity to together look at alternatives. We encourage customers to reach out to their usual contact to discuss these options for their supply chains.
Due to this governmental decision of implementing the higher charges, we will need to pass the cost to our customers to be able to offer the same level of service. Since these rates are based directly on the authorities’ rates, rules, and guidelines we reserve the right to adjust our rates if there are changes in the legislation etc.
