Import services procedures
- Freight currency payment: For payment in Colombian pesos, This ROE is an average of the buy/sell rate and does not constitute a tradable price. This average ROE also does not incorporate the cost Maersk takes by accepting payment in a currency different from the contracted currency
Maersk will adjust the ROE via a fixed adjustment of 3% in Colombia. This adjustment reflects the cost of foreign exchange (trading spreads, currency volatility and USD liquidity risk) in the respective currency. The adjustment is fixed and can be revisited on a quarterly basis subject to change in macroeconomic environment. The adjustments are publicly available on www.maersk.com/myfinance/ - For dry cargo, prepaid and collect payment both are acceptable, except household, which must be prepaid.
Important message: From February 15th2024, the issuance of comodato and the billing of local charges will be provided by Aras under ARAS SAS.
