Detention: Compensation payable when the Merchant holds Carrier's Container outside the port, terminal or depot beyond the agreed amount of Free Time.
Demurrage: Compensation payable when the Merchant holds Carrier’s Container inside the terminal, port or depot beyond the agreed amount of Free Time (the compensation includes terminal storage costs).

As Hungary is a landlocked country substantial precarriage on rail/road needs to be performed to get the cargo from Hungary to the ports. Main ports which are used for Hungarian exports are Koper (Slovenia), Rijeka (Croatia) and Bremerhaven (Germany) with regular rail connection from Budapest. With our direct trucking services other North Continent ports are also available such as Hamburg or Rotterdam.

In Carriers Haulage from Budapest Mahart Terminal (Budapest CY) to Rijeka we accept: IMO 2.2, 3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 8 with all package group and 9 Classes with I. or II. Package Group. Not accepted: Class 6.1 with any subsidiary risk (e.g. 6.1 (x), where x means any number)
