When natural or human-incurred disaster strikes, emergency logistics services are a key factor. Having aid reach the impacted areas more quickly and efficiently saves lives. To follow our values and use our leverage and logistics capabilities we support response efforts in case of natural disasters and other emergencies.
Since 2010, A.P. Moller - Maersk has been a member of the Logistics Emergency Team (LET), which comprises four global logistics and transportation companies: UPS, A.P. Moller - Maersk, Agility and DP World. The LET supports the Logistics Cluster, led by the United National World Food Programme (WFP), which provides emergency responses to large-scale humanitarian crises.
A.P. Moller - Maersk also collaborates with humanitarian orgnisations providing services on commercial terms and locally as needs-based support through donations in kind or cash.
In 2020, covid-19 relief and community support efforts valued at 4.2 million dollars were donated to local organisations by A.P. Moller - Maersk.
