As revealed in a recent survey in collaboration with Reuters, 81% of high-performing companies reported having robust internal data-sharing practices. However, what truly sets them apart is their ability to extend this transparency to external partners.

By creating a single version of the truth and overcoming silos between different parties, these companies are able to streamline operations, reduce friction, and maintain an end-to-end view of their supply chains.

Effective partnerships are crucial for building resilient and visible supply chains. Success begins with clearly defining the desired outcomes, both from the perspective of the customer and the service provider. By aligning on these goals upfront, companies can collaboratively build solutions — such as integrating visibility data from tracking shipments or making informed decisions on cargo diversion — that work towards a shared objective. Trust is a key component of these partnerships.

Companies that invest in long-term relationships, where both parties deeply understand each other’s needs and are working towards the same goal, are better positioned to achieve and sustain high-performing supply chains.
