Maersk has been vigilant about the recent announcements regarding the increase in Diesel prices in Colombia (ACPM) and the actions followed by unions and transport companies that have limited the trucking capacity in the country since Friday, August 30th.
Considering that Resolution No. 40350 of August 29, 2024, which came into effect on August 31, 2024, establishes new price levels per gallon, all inland operations carried out from Tuesday, September 3, will see an 8% increase over current prices on all urban and national corridors in Colombia for containerized cargo. Any offer previously provided before this announcement will expire according to the framework of terms and conditions of service and must be adjusted according to the price updated.
Vehicle capacity remains limited due to the measures established by unions and transport associations, affecting the trucking dispatch turnaround time and causing cargo backlogs.
We will be communicating with our clients transparently and constantly through our commercial and customer service teams to minimize the impact these disruptions may have on their supply chains.
