Finland political strike is overFinland political strike is over, and all Finnish ports operate normally from April 8th 06:00.

27 March 2024 - Update 03
Today it was announced, that AKT stevedores’ union in Finland will continue the strike by one more week. All port operations are shut down meanwhile.
Strike announced now will start 1st of April 06:00 (time when current two-week strike was expected to end) and last until 8th of April 06:00.
Maersk is following the situation closely and will keep you updated if any changes in above.

21 March 2024 - Update 02
Today it was announced, that AKT stevedores’ union in Finland will continue the strike by one more week. All port operations are shut down meanwhile.
Strike announced now will start 25th of March 06:00 (time when current two-week strike was expected to end) and last until 1st of April 06:00.

A political strike closes Finland's ports for two weeks
The Transport Workers’ Union AKT in Finland has declared a political strike in opposition to proposed amendments by the country's government to labour legislation. The two-week political strike will affect operations at all Finnish ports. In addition, work stoppages will also impact widely the Finnish industry and services.
The strike is from Monday 11 March 6 am to Monday 25 March 6 am.
For further impact on Maersk feeder operations, we will keep you updated in coming days as soon as we have further information.
