Please be informed that effective 1 January 2024, Maersk A/S would be adding VAT 12% on Detention and Demurrage charges occurring in the Philippines in accordance with Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR’s) directive on the same.
The Tax Identification Number (TIN) for Maersk A/S would remain unchanged as 459-023-395-0000.
Invoices issued by Maersk A/S in Philippines from 1 January 2024 will reflect that Maersk A/S is registered for VAT in Philippines and would contain details as required under the relevant tax code, including for Invoices and Official Receipts.
