New container protection for all ocean imports of the following commodities into Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Latvia & Lithuania

At Maersk, your needs always come first. That’s why we are continuously trying to simplify the way you do business with us. Container damages can happen at any stage of your supply chain, so we are applying Container Protect to your import shipments to ensure you will not be liable for any cleaning or container damage (within the coverage limit) and will be protected against financial losses.

As of 1st March 2024, Container Protect Essential will come into effect and is offered to all shipments imported into Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Latvia & Lithuania as part of the import standard offering for all commodities.

Container Protect Essential

• Denmark import: USD 20/ container*
• Covers container repair and cleaning cover up to USD 200.
• Sweden and Norway import: USD 20/ container*
• Covers container repair and cleaning cover up to USD 250.
• Estonia, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Latvia & Lithuania import: USD 10/ container*
• Covers container repair and cleaning cover up to USD 100.
• It is applicable to all import shipments to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Latvia & Lithuania. Container Protect will be included in quotations as part of our standard offering for all commodities.

Applicable from*

• For non-Spot bookings the effective date is from 1st March 2024 for Price Calculation Date (PCD).
• For Spot bookings the effective date is 1st March 2024 for Booking Creation Date (BCD).
