10 March 2023 - Update 04

Reference previous communication, INEC has officially communicated that the 2023 Nigerian Governorship elections scheduled for Saturday 11th March, 2023 have now been postponed to Saturday 18th March, 2023, hence our Lagos, Onne and Kano offices will maintain normal work hours of 8am to 4pm on Friday 10th March 2023.

Below is an update on availability of our channels and services in the upcoming days:
Counter services - The Lagos, Onne and Kano counters would be closed at 2pm on Friday 17th March 2023 (ticket issuance for service requests would stop at 12 noon). This is to ensure safety of our customers and employees the eve of the election days.

We encourage you to submit your original bills of lading in advance to avail yourself of our SelfService Delivery Order (SSDO) service when ready for cargo release.

Self-service and online channels:

  • Our phone lines +234 1 7 002 100 and +234 1 2 279 176 are available weekdays Mondays to Fridays within the hours of 9am and 4pm.
  • Our website Maersk.com would be available 24/7 for self-service cargo tracking, vessel schedule, invoicing and receipt printing, statement of account, quotes, booking creation etc.
  • Our workflow tools myEasyRelease and myExportDoc would be available for viewing and logging requests.
  • Our email channels ng.import@maersk.com and ng.export@maersk.com would be available.

Please anticipate extended processing time than usual for responses and confirmation of your requests logged during the weekend. We seek your understanding in this regard.

Gate activities at the various ports would likely be suspended on the election days in observance of the Federal Government’s mandate. We would monitor and keep you informed of developments.
