Service Changes - Merger of TP1 and TP9 as well as TPX and TP7

As we continuously strive to enhance our product offering, we are pleased to inform you about improve-ments to our service setup from Asia into the Pacific North West. As a consequence of rail congestion and berthing restrictions in Vancouver, our TP9 and TP1 services have been unstable during 2022 both in terms of departure frequency and extended transit times.

As of late October, we will merge the TP1 and the TP9 onto our new TP1, covering Vancouver and Prince Rupert. This change will remove the current waiting times in Vancouver and allow us to offer stable week-ly departures from Asia, improved environmental efficiency and competitive transit times.

In connection with this change, we will move Seattle to our existing TPX service while our currently infre-quent TP7 service will be suspended. Nansha and Kaoshiung will be covered via alternative products.

New TP1

The first sailing of the new consolidated TP1 under 2M will be the Maersk Seville sailing from Xiamen on 28 October with the following rotation.

Xiamen - Yantian - Ningbo - Shanghai - Busan - Yokohama - Vancouver - Prince Rupert - Yokohama - Busan

New TPX

The first sailing of the new consolidated standalone TPX will be the Maersk Baltimore sailing from Hai-phong on 23 October with the following rotation.

Haiphong - Yantian - Ningbo - Shanghai - Seattle - Los Angeles - Yokohama - Xiamen

Due to the irregular departures of previous TP1, TP9 and TP7 services, the above changes will cause mini-mal change to our overall offered capacity.

With these changes, we remain confident to provide stable weekly services across our entire Asia – US West Coast network spanning the TP1, TP2, TP6, TP8 and TPX services.

We remain committed to carrying all cargo contracted to Maersk and/or awarded through the Maersk Spot and Twill channels.
