We have been advised that Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) has experienced capacity issues in recent weeks at the terminal, CityDepot and Midland Port. Although capacity is freeing up at CityDepot and Midland Port over the next few weeks, there are a few key infrastructure projects that will encroach on to available capacity at Lyttelton Container Terminal (LCT).
The impact of recent weather events and the operational disruption from affected shipping schedules have impacted the timeline and planning of these projects.
To avoid Lyttelton Port Company becoming fully congested and severely impacting operations, it has been decided to reduce cargo acceptance windows to 5 days prior to ETA vs 7 days.
This will be instated for a period of 4 weeks, commencing 0600hrs, 24 August 2022.
Please see below for the first 4 vessel affected by the reduced acceptance window.
