We would like to inform you about the critical yard density levels at the NTB terminal in Bremerhaven, Germany, as a result of continuous operational disruptions impacting global supply chains. Maersk is doing all in its power to combat the situation and minimise delays, but as terminal operations slow down, our vessel arrival and departure schedules will unfortunately be further disrupted – affecting customer cargo and empty equipment supply.
In order to improve the situation, we strongly urge you to clear your cargo from the terminal as soon as possible and pick up your merchant haulage cargo by latest 5 working days after discharge, irrespective of agreed freetimes.
The severity of the situation at Bremerhaven may force us to move customer cargo to our Addicks & Kreye storage facility, where it will be available for collection the following day. Your Customer Experience Team will reach out to you should your containers be involved in this move. Your demurrage and detention agreements will stay valid at Addicks & Kreye.
Our primary focus is on keeping your supply chain moving, and we hope to have your support to ensure operations run as smoothly as possible in Bremerhaven despite the circumstances.
Maersk teams are here to serve you, so if you have any questions please reach out to your local Customer Experience Team. We thank you for your business and look forward to continuously serving your global logistics needs.
