Maersk remains dedicated to support our customers increased cargo demands during the global pandemic. In order to continue this effort and to improve the reliability of our offering, we will launch a new weekly service - the TP28 and the upgraded TP20.
The new Transpacific East Coast service will primarily deploy vessels in 4500 segment and include port calls in Vung Tao, Yantian, Ningbo and Shanghai with a Panama Canal transit and direct connections to Houston and Norfolk. We target to start the service with first sailing from Vung Tao on 23rd March by the MAERSK WALLIS.
The launch of the new TP28 coincides with changes to the rotation of current TP20. Going forward, TP20 will feature our first direct Jakarta call (instead of Vung Tau) on our Pacific services and transit Panama for direct connection to Charleston (North) and Newark. We expect to gradually increase the size of the vessels deployed on TP20 from 4500 to 6500 segment.
Our new TP28 will be exclusively operated by Maersk, as is the case for our existing TP20.
In summary
New TP28 (4500): Vung Tau - Yantian - Ningbo - Shanghai - Houston - Norfolk
Revised TP20 (4500-6500): Jakarta - Yantian - Ningbo - Shanghai - Charleston (North) – Newark
Estimate maidensailing from Jakarta will be departed on 26 March 2022 (week 12).
The commencement of the new service is subject to compliance with any applicable regulatory requirements.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your business and trust. We look forward to continue to serve your global transportation needs.
