Floods in DE and CZ - disruption of service on corridor CZ to/from DE - Update 3
In regards to previous advisory, let us share latest information on the development of freight trains transport to/from Germany.
As per information from German railways freight trains to/from Germany should have started operating as per standard schedule as of today. Despite this information as from 21.8. there is second strike of the Union of German Train Drivers which affects the overall situation on rail and causes further delays of trains. No trains are running in both directions at this moment. The strike is planned until 25.8.. Once it is over we will inform you on actual situation.
For imports we are trying to keep up to date information in www.e-maersk.eu with expected arrivals to our inland depots. Please follow these information closely and in case of any doubts, please contact our customer service colleagues. For exports in case there is need to rebook your containers to later vessel you will be also notified.
Export booking stop is valid till August 29 for all SD bookings with load port Germany.
Import shipments aren’t accepted from German ports until further notice, unless you wish to pay premium for ordering direct truck.
In case you have booked your import containers up to Bremerhaven/Hamburg, CY, please request release of these containers in e-Maersk. For both directions, there is still possibility to book in case you wish to deliver containers to/from port by direct truck. For price offer please contact our customer service.
