A singular, unified Maersk brand
Sealand Asia is unifying with Maersk.
By unifying with Maersk, we will offer you extended regional expertise and connectivity, whilst accessing an unmatched global network of controlled assets. We will remain regionally close to you, offering you global reach and scope with a wider range of solutions, globally and locally.
This will allow you to create a supply chain that works for you, your way for your business. Our unmatched combination of our network of controlled assets, new digital platforms, and strong competencies will support your needs, however and whenever they occur.
In line with the unification, these changes will occur:
- In the coming months, we will begin servicing you using the Maersk name.
- Changes to the appearance of physical assets and offices are underway and are expected to continue over the remainder of 2023.
- Our Sealand social media accounts and newsletters will be phased out. Relevant content will be shared on Maersk equivalents going forward.
The unification with the Maersk brand was made with you, our customers, at its centre. It will expand your scope from regional to global, give you access to a greater range of transportation products and logistical services, easy access to booking through Maersk.com.

In the coming months, we will begin servicing you using the Maersk name. You will then be invited to begin booking through Maersk. Depending on how you currently book with us, we will endeavour to mirror your booking journey with Maersk.
If you need support booking through Maersk.com, we have an easy to follow step-by-step guide. You can consult our Brand Transition page which hosts our Frequently Asked Questions. Our account managers and customer service staff are standing by to help if you need support.
If you use EDI and API connections with a third-party provider, you need to inform this third party once you have been migrated from Sealand Asia to Maersk. After this point, new EDI bookings can only be placed with the Maersk EDI channel.
We understand that even after the migration, there may still be shipments enroute, and we have asked third party providers to continue to send EDI Cargo Status messages until those shipments are complete.
We understand that you may not need or currently be interested in the solutions and products we can offer through our integrated logistics services. In this case, you will still have access to the elements you need, as well as improved connectivity through our controlled asset network. With more short- and long-haul options to choose from, you can better create a supply chain that works for your business needs and challenges.
By simplifying our commercial setup, you will have more modality and fewer restrictions, with an unmatched combination of a controlled asset network, new digital platforms and unique competencies, both global and local, regardless of which services and products you need from us.

Booking
In the coming months, we will begin servicing our Sealand Asia customers using the Maersk name. The process will be staggered and will take several months.
You will be notified by our teams when we start preparing to serve you as Maersk . When everything is ready, you will be invited to start booking through Maersk. Please be assured that you will be given sufficient notice.
We are doing everything we can to make this transition a smooth experience for you and your business, and to ensure you are advised of changes that may be relevant to your business.
Delivering on our agreements is our priority. Existing rate agreements with a validity period extending over the transfer date will remain valid for the original validity period, as will any free time offers and space commitments provided in connection with those valid rates. In very few cases, it may be necessary to review credit agreements to align existing agreements you have with Maersk. Our local teams will work with you to make sure the transition happens fluidly, and that any disruption is minimised.
We will contact you to let you know when your account with Maersk is ready to use. Once this has happened, you will be invited to book through Maersk.
By unifying Sealand Asia with Maersk, you will have access to Maersk’s unmatched controlled-assets network, giving you more control, visibility, and connectivity regionally as well as globally. Additionally, you’ll have access to a range of transportation products and logistical services, offering even more modality and more access to L&S products than before.
Our ambition is to mirror your current booking journey where possible, and we also want to simplify how you interact with us.

Our current network design is brand agnostic and therefore will not be affected by the brand unification.

Sealand Asia contact details, including email addresses, will remain active for a period after the transition. However, staff may start to respond to you from the Maersk addresses.
If you are emailing group emails after the address has changed, your email will be forwarded to the correct inbox, and you will get an autoreply with the new contact details. Until then, you can use the same Sealand contact information as before.
