Continuing our previous advisory pertaining Dangerous Goods Shipment Regulation in Belawan Port (see advisory here), herewith to inform that starting Tuesday, 19 July 2022, for export shipment from Belawan Port carrying Dangerous Goods cargo, it is also mandatory to provide packaging and stuffing photos of the shipment.
Customer will be required to provide stuffing photos showing the UN packaging codes, pursuant to the PM no. 16 of 2021 that all DG shipment’s packaging must be in accordance with IMDG regulation. This will be required in order to get DG Load Permit at Belawan Port. For DG shipment with Isotank unit, do not require to provide packaging and stuffing photo.
Dangerous Goods cargo packaging & stuffing photos must be provided alongside Final MDGF document, by email to id.export@maersk.com. Therefore, the deadline of providing the said photos on each sailing will be the same with the DG deadlines of the vessel. For Belawan Port, it will be every Thursday at 17:00, Western Indonesia Standard Time/WIB (GMT+7).
Failure to provide the correct document and comply with above regulation which resulted in container shut out will be under customer responsibility. You may reach out to related government authorities if you have any query or concern regarding the regulation.
