Are you an experienced Site Manager in a fast paced Logistics environment?
Can you lead and develop teams whilst still focusing on the operational goals?
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Manager to join our team in a bonded warehouse facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and stakeholders. The Site Manager will be responsible for achieving key performance indicators, managing budgets, and leading a team of managers and staff to deliver exceptional service and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the customer and their associates, ensuring that agreed quality and performance standards are always achieved.
- Fully understand customer requirements and adopt an approach that ensures customer needs are met and exceeded, through regular contact and communication with the customer, managing close internal and external customer relationships.
- Set and adhere to agreed budget levels, and analyze and understand health and safety related risks, taking action to reduce or eliminate these risks according to a prioritized plan. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and drive a safety culture.
- Manage, motivate, and develop the on-site management team, ensuring open communication and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement in all site operations, and ensure effective resource planning and management to meet customer and business requirements.
- Ensure all legislative and general training requirements are completed effectively and in good time, and ensure compliance with all Company operating and administrative procedures.
- Ensure that all inbound, outbound, and internal stock movement processes are recorded and reported accurately and compliantly within the relevant warehouse management system and related duty management system.
- Ensure compliance to all required submissions of daily, weekly, monthly documentation to HMRC, and ensure overall stock is controlled and discrepancies are within the agreed tolerances.
- Develop and implement a site Succession Plan and ensure ongoing people development planning via the appraisal process and regular 121's.
About You:
You will be passionate about Supply Chain Logistics having gained extensive experience from high-level operational teams within the sector. Experienced in people development, you can successfully demonstrate you have led on projects to commercial performance. You will thrive in an environment where you are given great authority and respond to this with quick decision-making judgement and transparency of communication to all levels of the business.
Experience and skills:
- Extensive operations’ management experience in a similar environment
- Successful in guiding and managing change within a Logistics Supply Chain environment
- Results-oriented with proven experience in using data to make sound judgements and create positive outcomes to performance
- Flexible and adaptable in dealing with new and difficult situations
- Excellent employment law knowledge
- Exceptional inter-personal and project management skills
- Clear and transparent communication style
- Sound decision-making skills and the ability to prioritise effective
