Job Purpose:
Reporting into the UK&I Head of HSSE this role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the security strategy in the UKI and Nordics. Providing professional advice to the business for operational and developing sites on all aspects of security across warehouses, offices, air freight and transport networks. The role will also support H&S at the 2 air freight sites and work as a part of a team to ensure security standards are understood throughout the team.
THIS ROLE CAN HOME-BASED ANYWHERE ACROSS THE UK
Job Description:
Ensuring the airfreight sites always remain legally compliant, including being aware of legislative changes.
Providing advice and guidance on all aspects of security and business continuity as required
Ensuring all incidents of a security nature are reported and investigated and recommendations produced as necessary
Ensure all security training requirements are met and regularly reviewed
Lead on the appointment of security providers and ensure the third party offering is fit for purpose.
To ensure security risk assessments are available for all sites
Remain abreast of current legislation and best practice in the industry and advise Maersk appropriately.
Maintain a security risk register for the business
Lead on any security issues of a serious nature
Support on the crisis management team and with the instigation of a business continuity programme
Support sales colleagues with suggestions in relation to customer requirements
Be the primary contact for external regulatory security bodies
Person Specification:
Be familiar with and understand in country security related legislative requirements
Experience of completing, creating and reviewing security documentation including Risk Assessments and risk registers
Experience of working with various teams to achieve set targets or goals.
Experience of carrying out and facilitating security audits relating to compliance and procedural activities (internal and external).
Manage interaction with multiple departments and 3rd party contractors.
Competent with Microsoft Office Packages.
Outstanding Organisational Skills and time management
Ability to present and write presentations
Report writing
