Integrated Sales Executive
Opportunity
The Salesperson for IDC & Projects will specialize in the DRC market, focusing on managing and expanding the sales of aid and relief cargo services within the region. They will be the primary point of contact for humanitarian organizations operating in the DRC, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of essential supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop tailored solutions that address the logistical complexities of the IDC Customers in the DRC market, including navigating local regulations and infrastructure limitations
Work closely with the Customer Solutions Team, Product Team, Integrated Customer Experience Teams and operations teams to cocreate, design solutions to address pain points and deliver the very best of experience as we optimize delivery routes and methods specific to the DRC’s terrain and transportation networks
Stay abreast of political, economic, and social developments in the DRC that may impact aid and relief efforts, adapting strategies accordingly
Ensure compliance with all DRC-specific legal and regulatory requirements for the transportation and delivery of aid and relief cargo
Provide transparent and competitive pricing while understanding the financial constraints often faced by organizations in the aid sector
Collaborate with the Country Management Team firstly and the Area Sales team to align sales strategies with the broader goals of the organization in the West African market
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for the DRC market, considering the unique challenges and opportunities.
Oversee the preparation and response to technical proposals and tenders ensuring high quality and timely response.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of the DRC market, including local business customs, legal regulations, and supply chain networks
Experience in sales within the logistics, humanitarian aid, or relief sectors, preferably with a focus on the DRC or similar markets.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to navigate complex sales scenarios and close deals effectively.
Proficiency in French, Lingala, Swahili, or other local languages spoken in the DRC is highly desirable.
Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the humanitarian values and principles that guide aid and relief organizations.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field, with a focus on African markets.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to the DRC or similar markets.
Work Environment:
Frequent travel within the DRC
