Are you interested in joining a team of highly engaged IT Procurement Managers negotiating and managing some of the largest IT and technology deals in Scandinavia? 

Technology is key contributor and enabler to the overall success of the Maersk strategy to become the global integrator of container logistics connecting and simplifying our customers’ supply chain.

In Technology Procurement we work as a reliable partner for the business and technology functions, contributing to the Maersk strategy by procuring technology and managing technology suppliers.

Our new Technology Procurement function sits in Indirect Procurement, where you will drive technology category management and strategy end to end, with responsibility for negotiations, tenders, extensions, and amendments for all technology contracts in Maersk, hereunder SRM. Technology Procurement all together manage a +1.2 BUSD spend.

Ideally you will be located in Copenhagen – but we will also consider Maidenhead/London.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be software procurement and you will manage a portfolio of procurement and negotiation projects from initiation through to signed contract, ensuring best in class procurement process, use of appropriate contractual and engagement models and a smooth transition into implementation and contract management lifecycle.

You will be the lead on the procurement projects as well as the commercial and contractual negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders. 

Other key tasks:

  • Conduct in depth market and supplier research, including identification and engagement of new suppliers in assistance of IT requirements
  • Map and analyze data on current spend patterns and identifying cost drivers and opportunities in complex marketplaces
  • Manage and execute RFI/RFP’s and act as single point of contact for supplier during negotiations
  • Manage senior stakeholder engagement via steering committees
  • Accountable for risk identification and mitigation related to managed contract negotiations
  • Accountable for IT category insights including; Overview on Maersk Supplier portfolios, Maersk Group wide spend mapping and IT Category Market insights.  

Who we are looking for :
Our ideal candidate comes with 5+ years of experience on software procurement and negotiations. You are self-motivated person with a can-do attitude, well organized and enjoy taking ownership of tasks entire way to resolution.

You have also been proactively involved in IT commercial activities (e.g. SaaS, outsourcing, IT services) for several years where you have acquired experience in IT Procurement, supplier contract negotiations, contract management and project management.

Furthermore you:
 

  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills and strong social skills, with ability to manage and challenge internal and external stakeholders
  • Have strong communication skills and an ability to influence decision makers and senior stakeholders
  • Master English as a negotiation language
