We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Analyst to act as the liaison between our operations teams and IT departments. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding both the technical aspects of our applications and the operational processes within the company. You will work to bridge the gap between these two areas, ensuring that operational requirements are translated into effective technical solutions and that support is provided to meet those needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaison Role: Serve as the key point of contact between operations teams and IT, ensuring clear communication and alignment on requirements, technical capabilities, and deliverables.

  • Application Understanding: Gain in-depth knowledge of the organization's applications and how they are used in day-to-day operations to ensure appropriate technical support and solutions.

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with operations teams to understand business processes and user needs, and translate those into functional specifications for the IT department.

  • Process Mapping: Work closely with operational teams to map out processes, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for process enhancements via technological solutions.

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Assist with technical support issues by identifying the root cause, liaising with tech support groups, and coordinating the resolution of any technical problems impacting operations.

  • Project Coordination: Assist in managing and supporting IT projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, ensuring that timelines, budget constraints, and technical requirements are met.

  • Training & Documentation: Provide guidance and training to operations staff on the use of technology and applications. Develop and maintain documentation related to system processes, technical support guides, and operational workflows.

  • Collaboration with Tech Support: Work with IT teams to prioritize, track, and resolve technical issues and incidents impacting business processes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, system integration, or process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of both operations and IT support.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 5+ years of experience in an IT Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role with exposure to both IT systems and business operations.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in business applications, systems, and software.
    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, databases, and cloud technologies.
    • Familiarity with systems integration and data flow processes.

  • Operational Knowledge:

    • In-depth understanding of business processes and operations in a relevant industry (e.g., Stevedoring, shipping, logistics, etc.).
  • Communication & Collaboration:

    • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across both technical and operational teams.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:

    • Ability to analyze operational needs and map them to technical solutions.
    • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Project Management:

    • Experience with managing or supporting small to medium-scale IT projects, from planning through execution.
