Are you ready to play your part in this?

As a Customs Process Administrator, you will be responsible for processing customs declarations for imported goods into Germany via sea and air, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and laws. You will coordinate and organize the full range of customs services, from order acceptance to release of goods and customs clearance.

Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and laws, while checking and managing the documents required for the import process (plausibility check, validity). An important part of the role will be to check imported goods for restrictions or prohibitions, ensuring that all necessary permits and licenses are available. Other responsibilities would include:

  • Checking commodity codes with all additional provisions according to EZT / TARIC
  • Daily monitoring of process disruptions / delays
  • Communicating with customers, suppliers and customs authorities regarding document requirements and securing all necessary information for customs clearance
  • Avoiding delays and problems through meticulous preparation
  • Participate in Customs related projects as required

  • 1-2 years of proven work experience in customs or forwarder logistics area
  • Some understanding of the Tariff and HS Classification experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to adapt to a new customs software
  • English B1
  • German B2
  • Ability to meet customer requirements (Internal & External)
  • Attention to details and deadlines
  • Team engagement and support
  • Understanding and implementation of Best Practice and Continuous Improvement
