This role can be based at any of our UK offices
The Role
Support to Implementation Managers throughout the project
Producing, maintaining and help in updating the required project documentation
Facilitating and management of internal and external project calls, as required
Follow-up and updates on project plan, meeting minutes, risk register, project charter and other project related documents
Support in preparing, maintaining, and distributing project updates along with the IM Manager
Update of relevant Project systems logs
Assistance in creating SOPs/IOPs as well as respective process flows, sharing them with the desired stakeholders and updating on a continuous basis
Ensure that project documents are appropriately stored and accessible to others within IM team
Leading with regular and ad-hoc tasks, depending on the project and customer requirements
Role Responsibilities
Project Management and Implementation
Supporting Implementation projects in adherence to the Maersk implementation methodology as well as Client requirements
Writing and agreeing the content of the Standard Operating Procedures as well as supporting creation of Internal Operating Procedures in conjunction with Customer Service
Provision of comprehensive status updates on project and implementations to stakeholders as well as senior management when required
Customer Process Development
Become an ‘Operational Excellence’ ambassador and encourage operational and customer service staff to apply best practice
Actively seek out processes within internal or external environment that can be improved or streamlined using acquired knowledge and project methodology
Taking accountability for a part of the Customer programs where required, scoping out, developing and finalizing projects with the whole supply chain structure
IT System Applications
Provide expertise, and training in the use of Maersk SCM operating applications / platforms.
Support system implementation / application demonstrations where required.
Be a monitoring conduit between the Client and Maersk EDI team to ensure the required outcome of the project
Support of new business/staff
To support new business activity within the customer service teams as required. This involves working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure new business is implemented effectively.
Support the provision of training to new staff as and when required.
Provide IT system training and support where requested across the business.

Technical skills:
Strong IT skills (MS Office incl. Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project optional)
Good time management
Continuous Improvement techniques and metric driven are an asset
Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of Maersk operational systems (desirable)

Understanding of logistics products is desirable.
Experience in shipping, forwarding or logistics, with understanding of UK inbound processes, origin consolidation and purchase order management is a plus.
