Key Responsibilities
- Manage and Grow our ocean and logistics footprint in the country; pursue and secure business in line with corporate and regional objectives within the assigned geography and market segment.
- Preparation of sales calls, pipeline management with a disciplined approach.
- Apply the consultative sales model to add value and distinguish market presence by effectively probing and identifying needs, suggesting customers solutions from our portfolio of logistics products (Ocean, Landside transportation, Customs House Brokerage, Airfreight, Consolidation, Contract and Lead Logistics)
- Timely and correct update of contract rates, terms, conditions in line with the predefined procedures.
- Effectively handover of won business opportunities to our customer service, execution and finance teams.
- Establish internal stakeholders’ network to facilitate resolution of customer issues.
- Research and understand territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.
- Respond to all sales leads/key correspondence within identified timelines.
- Research and analyze market intel and industry trends (e.g., sales statistics, prepare reports, study literature regarding new and existing services, and monitor sales, prices, and services of competitors); recommend actions in accordance to findings.
- Responsible for pipeline growth and management in line with targets both individually and contributes to wider team
- Provides local industry information and analysis to customers & senior management.
- Maintains market awareness regarding market developments, supply/demand, pricing, competition etc
- Leads activities on smaller projects and provide support for larger ones.
We are looking for a person with
- Bachelor's or master's degree / MBA or certificate from supply chain and logistics section.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Experience: 5 or more years of commercial experience in the freight forwarding /shipping line industry, building solutions for local, regional and global customers. Expertise in the following areas will be highly valued:

- Warehouse and Distribution
- Ocean freight background
- Lead Logistics (4PL)
- AIR
- LCL and Consolidation
- Commercial Skills: Strong negotiator. Ability to understand customer pains and needs, build top class solutions using our current product offering as base to close the business.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders within the customers’ organization and leverage internal relationships to expand business opportunities for Maersk.
- Strategic thinking: Create and execute a well-defined strategy for his/her customers portfolio and prospects.
- Disciplined Sales Process: Plan and execute meeting with customers, with and efficient pipeline management through our CRM.
- Soft Skills: Hungry, positive, adaptable, fast learner, strong sense of urgency, team player, winning mentality, results oriented, growth mindset.
