Anshuman earned the Maersk Star Inventor Award for pioneering language processing patents. One of his patents powers AI Agent Assist, a generative AI app. Our customer experience colleagues handle 28 million annual email queries, taking 5 minutes on average to resolve. AI Agent Assist provides pre-written email recommendations for over 80% of queries. Currently in a pilot phase, initial data indicates potential annual savings in the five-figure range when deployed to all 15,000 CX colleagues. The impact? Thomas Bangslund has been innovating at A.P. Moller – Maersk Group since 1996. As Group Head of Technical Innovation at Svitzer, Thomas oversees an extensive pipeline of technical and operational innovation projects and is deeply involved in Svitzer’s work with industry trends.

Thomas received the Maersk Star Inventor Award in recognition of his many innovative contributions, not least Svitzer’s TRAnsverse Tug. Able to generate higher steering forces than most tugboats in its class, the TRAnsverse Tug combines a unique staple design and the ability to push, pull and manoeuvre in all directions – all neatly wrapped in a nimble tugboat.
